Samsø & Samsø (Anglicized: “Samso” or “Samsoe”) is a danish company founded in 1993. It all started when back in 1991 the brothers Klaus and Preben Samsøe established the company Samsøe & Samsøe with a jewellery shop in Copenhagen. Then in 1993 the brothers decided to open the first fashion store in Studiestræde, within the Copenhagen area. The same year the company launched its menswear production. In 2000 Peter Sextus and Per Ulrik took the company over, and brought new perspectives. With new head offices in an old industrial building in Ryesgade, the company took its next step to launch the first female fashion line in the year 2004. Five years later Samsoe and Samsoe opened its first monobrand shop in Malmø, Sweden. Since then the brand has been fascinating the fashion world outside the Danish border.
